Our Story

It all started with a tiny restaurant created by foodies for fellow foodie friends

And even after 130 renowned restaurants and confectionaries and eight award winning cuisines, we are proud to say it still remains a Restaurant Group by and for the foodies. With the opening of its first outlet in 1994 in Mumbai (India), Speciality Group of Restaurants began its journey of serving authentic world cuisines and over 300 years old delectable Indian cuisines.

We are now feeding foodies in over 130 Outlets (72 Restaurants + 41 Confectionery outlets + 17 standalone Cloud kitchens) across 17 cities (14 in India + 1 each in UAE, Tanzania and London).

“I believe that the mantra to happiness and the spread of warmth can be achieved when good food is served with utmost love and passion. Our first outlet 'Only Fish' was founded in 1992 to recreate the magic of Calcutta cuisine in the by lanes of Mumbai. With the immense popularity that the restaurant enjoyed, I realized that there was a dearth of speciality restaurants both in the Fine Dining and Casual Dining spheres. All this motivated me to follow my single-minded dream with 'passion, 'hard work' and 'dedication' and thus, began the journey of Speciality Group of Restaurants which aimed at bringing innovative and creative dining experience for all. Our mission will always be to bring "passion onto your plate" and with our excellent team work, we continue with the spirit of "making our guests feel special."
